Job Title: HVAC Service Supervisor

Abstrakt Marketing Group is seeking an experienced HVAC Service Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for leading a team of field technicians to ensure the successful completion of preventive maintenance and small technical projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the execution of assigned agreements within contracted time obligations
  • Oversee all financial aspects of assigned agreements
  • Lead field personnel to ensure proper staffing and efficient field operations
  • Communicate and coordinate field operations with the dispatcher
  • Manage equipment, material, and tool utilization
  • Proactively communicate scope of work to necessary field personnel
  • Participate in regular review meetings on backlog, manpower planning, customer, and field relations
  • Provide sales personnel with leads and alert them about competitive sales efforts
Customer Service:
  • Build and maintain customer loyalty
  • Respond quickly and efficiently to customer issues
  • Exercise proper judgment to escalate procedures when necessary to ensure customers and associates' needs are met
  • Effectively communicate relevant information to customers regarding their systems to influence and drive customer satisfaction
Safety Compliance:
  • Conduct and document team safety meetings (4/month)
  • Familiarize yourself with the Loss Control Manual and adhere to its procedures and protocols
  • Ensure staff is familiar with and adheres to accident/injury reporting procedures
  • Communicate with necessary internal personnel regarding safety incidents
  • Complete accident/incident reports timely (within 24 hours of occurrence)
  • Participate in accident/incident reviews and remediation of identified safety issues
  • Utilize appropriate PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) and model safe behavior for field staff
  • Conduct and document weekly safety audits and inspections as described in the Loss Control Manual
  • Identify safety concerns and training needs and communicate them to the Safety Manager
Staff Development:
  • Evaluate technician and team technical ability and assign jobs based on skill level
  • In coordination with the Service Manager, develop and implement training plans to ensure the team has the necessary capabilities to execute agreement base
  • Mentor service representatives on how to solve problems independently
  • Balance team and individual responsibilities
  • Exhibit objectivity and openness to others' views
  • Give and welcome feedback that contributes to building positive team morale
  • Prioritize the success of the team above personal interests
  • Effectively audit performance of staff and recommend appropriate personnel actions, including but not limited to hiring, termination, promotion, demotion, training, and compensation
Personal Development:
  • Keep technical knowledge up to date as to equipment and concepts: gain familiarity with new products and techniques as they are introduced
  • Belong to and take advantage of technical organizations to improve technical knowledge

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated leadership skills
  • Minimum 10 years of commercial service technician field experience
  • Valid driver's license and safe driving record
  • Universal EPA Certified
  • Certificate of Completion or Diploma with an accredited HVAC trade school preferred
  • Regular and punctual attendance
  • Demonstrated knowledge of chillers, boilers, vibration, and oil analysis
  • Familiarity with the following vertical markets: healthcare, data center, assisted living, commercial office, industrial, and power generation

Salary: $95,000 - $115,000
