Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our team at Whitinger & Co. As a Senior Accountant, you will play a vital role in delivering quality service to our clients on both the Assurance and Tax sides of our business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assurance: Working knowledge of fundamental auditing principles, work as a team on the fieldwork and wrap-up stages of assurance engagements, consistently apply GAAP and GAAS to resolve complex accounting issues, document, validate, test, and assess various financial reporting control systems.
  • Tax: Working knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws, ability to complete individual and business tax returns accurately and efficiently, ability to apply advanced problem-solving, research, and analysis skills independently, actively involved in marketing, networking, and business development.
Requirements
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Accounting from an accredited college or university required.
  • A Master's Degree in Accounting from an accredited college or university preferred.
  • CPA certificate preferred.
  • 3+ years of public accounting experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to complete work independently and adhere to scheduled deadlines and time budgets.
  • Demonstrated ability to complete work assignments with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Experience maintaining necessary confidentiality with all client and firm information.
