Job Description:

Focusing on delivering exceptional patient care, we are seeking a skilled MRI Technologist to join our team in a travel position. As a key member of our radiology department, you will be responsible for operating magnetic resonance imaging equipment to produce high-quality images for diagnostic purposes.

Responsibilities:

  • Operate MRI equipment to produce cross-sectional images of patients' bodies for diagnostic purposes.
  • Perform patient studies according to set protocols, including placing specified coils close to areas of interest.
  • Interview patients to explain MRI procedures, address concerns, and exhibit tact, courtesy, and poise when interacting with patients, staff, and visitors.
  • Ensure patient and staff safety by explaining safety protocols, requesting removal of hazardous metal objects, and monitoring patients via closed-circuit TV.
  • Orient new hires and train MRI Technologists, students, and trainees.

Requirements:

  • Two years of continuous recent experience as a MRI Technologist, with proficiency in all duties required of a MRI Technologist II.
  • License in the required state.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to learn applications relevant to the position.

Work Environment:

This is a contract/temporary/travel position, requiring a high degree of flexibility and adaptability. As a travel MRI Technologist, you will have the opportunity to work in various healthcare settings, gaining valuable experience and skills.
