Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee civil site design projects, including site layout, grading, and stormwater management.
• Lead initiatives focused on Land Development Design.
• Direct the creation of comprehensive construction plans encompassing demolition, erosion control, grading, pavements, hardscapes, plan & profile sheets, cross sections, typical sections, construction details, staging, and quantities.
• Manage the evaluation and design of infrastructure facilities for sanitary sewer, water, and storm sewer systems.
• Prepare essential documents such as project specifications, design reports, alternatives analyses, agency coordination, permitting, and cost estimates.
• Ensure quality assurance and quality control on civil projects.
• Conduct technical and constructability reviews of designs produced by others.
• Perform construction inspection and administration independently and collaboratively.
• Collect, analyze, and interpret field data.
• Assist project managers in meeting project deliverables and budgetary constraints.
• Participate in client meetings and foster effective communication with clients, staff, and OTIE leadership.
• Mentor junior and mid-level staff while working in both office and field environments. We are open to a hybrid of remote and office work for the right candidate.

• Travel within and outside the continental United States with a team of engineers and technicians to support worldwide Department of Defense installations.


Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution.
• Professional Engineer registration in Wisconsin or the ability to obtain it within 6 months of hire.
• 12+ years of planning and design experience.
• Experience in Land Development Design.
• Willingness to travel as required for meetings and site inspections.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with a focus on client interaction.
• Ability to lift and carry equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Must be a US Citizen or possess a valid green card.

Preferred Qualifications:
• 20+ years of planning and design experience.
• Direct project experience in site design and stormwater management for development and redevelopment.
• Experience with trenchless utility construction.

Compensation Range:
$115k - $160k
