Design Technologist, Amazon Brand Innovation Lab

We are seeking a highly skilled Design Technologist to join our team at Amazon Brand Innovation Lab. As a Design Technologist, you will be responsible for designing and developing custom experiences for our clients across various Amazon platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own the end-to-end development process and deliverables from a design and technical perspective
- Provide design and technical leadership; work closely with business teams in development of campaign strategy, use cases, and technical requirements
- Concept first-to-market innovations that utilize Amazon's canvas alongside creative counterparts
- Present work to peers, product teams and Senior leadership
- Provide leadership, mentor, and coach to your immediate and extended team
- Partner with program and product managers to appropriately identify and assess features for future product offerings
Requirements
- 3+ years of front-end technologist, engineer, or UX prototyper experience
- Have an available online portfolio
- Have coding samples in front end programming languages
- 3+ years of ad or design agency experience
- Excellent written/verbal communication, presentation, interpersonal and analytical skills
- Understanding and fluent usage across a broad spectrum of technologies including (but not limited to): React/JavaScript/NodeJS, HTML/CSS, XML/JSON, and Responsive/Adaptive Design
- Whiteboarding, which is included of the hiring process
- Fluent in Adobe Creative Suite applications including Media Encoder, After Effects, and Photoshop
- Understanding of WCAG AA standards and accessibility fluency
- Experience using Figma to translate designs to websites
- Experience using AWS in production environments
- Understanding of performance and how to mitigate latency issues
- Experience building work to high accessibility standards
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiar with creative ideation and brainstorm sessions with internal and external partners
- Familiarity with Android and/or iOS development
- Familiarity with GenAI/LLMs, Augmented Reality, Virtual Reality, Alexa, Voice Design
- BS/MS in computer science, technology, design, or equivalent professional experience

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $118,600/year in our lowest geographic market up to $205,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
