Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Product Design Engineer to join our team at Aries Electronics, Inc. As a Product Design Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing custom electronic connectors, test sockets, adapters, and cable assemblies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop custom electronic connectors, test sockets, adapters, and cable assemblies using SolidWorks and other design tools.
- Communicate and work with internal sales, sales reps, distributors, and customers to understand their needs and develop custom product design concepts.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure designs meet customer and internal specifications.
- Develop and maintain documentation, including part drawings, subassemblies, and final assemblies, as well as Bills of Materials (BOMs).
- Conduct first article and final inspections of molded, stamped, and machined socket parts and customer-supplied devices.
- Provide technical support to customers and sales department, troubleshooting issues and resolving problems.
- Work on multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (preferred) or Associate's degree in a related field.
- At least two years of experience in mechanical product design using SolidWorks.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Access.
- Desirable experience in custom electronic sockets and connectors, tooling and fixture design, and SolidWorks thermal/flow simulation.
