We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Dishwasher/Food Runner/Server at Bella Cucina, LLC.

Key Responsibilities
  • Wash and clean tableware, pots, pans, and cooking equipment to maintain a clean and organized dish area.
  • Load, run, and unload the dish machine, ensuring it is clean and functioning properly.
  • Monitor the dish machine water temperature to ensure a sanitary wash cycle.
  • Wash and store all tableware and kitchenware, maintaining adequate levels of clean supplies.
  • Keep the dish area clean and organized, ensuring soiled tableware is cleared from other areas.
  • Bag and haul dish area trash to the dumpster at designated times.
  • Handle tableware carefully to prevent breakage and loss.
  • Maintain adequate levels of dish detergents and cleaning supplies.
  • Clean food preparation and production areas as required.
  • Be available to fill in as needed to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the restaurant.
Additional Responsibilities for Food Runner/Bussers
  • Deliver food to tables, checking for accuracy and quality.
  • Transport trays of soiled dishes, maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
  • Greet guests as they enter the premise, providing preliminary information about the menu.
  • Prepare soups, salads, and bread setups when required.
  • Replenish food and beverages, taking additional orders as needed.
  • Bus, clear, and carefully reset tables and chairs.
  • Clean work areas, washing dishes and assisting in food preparation as needed.
Additional Responsibilities for Servers
  • Possess a good understanding of food and bar menu items, including recipes and preparation and service.
  • Be aware of and review all regular menu variances and specials.
  • Monitor and observe guests' dining experience, ensuring they are satisfied with the food and service.
  • Respond promptly and courteously to any requests, being ready and willing to assist fellow servers and bus persons as needed.
  • Assist in greeting guests upon their arrival and seating according to established procedures.
  • Be available to fill in as needed to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the restaurant.
  • Ensure opening and closing procedures are properly completed.
  • Keep busy with side work during slow periods.
  • Possess a complete understanding of applicable North Carolina ABC regulations.
Qualifications
  • No previous restaurant experience is required.
  • Be able to work in a hot, wet, and loud environment for long periods of time.
  • Be physically able to lift, reach, bend, and stoop.
  • Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 5 hours).
  • Be able to safely lift bags, cases, and stacks weighing up to 60 pounds up to 30 times per shift.
  • For Food Runner/Bussers: Must have exceptional grooming habits, be able to communicate clearly and effectively, and be able to lift and carry heavy trays up to 40 lbs.
  • For Servers: Be able to communicate and speak clear, fluent English, possess basic math skills, and have the ability to handle money and operate a point-of-sale system.
