Position Overview: The Director of Apheresis and Assistant Director of Transfusion Services is accountable for the safety and well-being of patients and donors participating in apheresis procedures. This role involves providing immediate assessment and intervention during apheresis operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Offer on-site, telephonic, or electronic consultation for apheresis procedure inquiries.
- Design and implement educational initiatives for staff and trainees regarding apheresis practices.
- Identify and execute process enhancements as part of the quality management strategy for the apheresis program.
- Support the academic objectives of the institution and fulfill the requirements for faculty appointment.
Compensation: The annual salary for this position is $236,556.80.
Required Qualifications:
- MD/DO Degree.
- Board eligibility or certification in Clinical Pathology.
- Membership on the Medical Staff with the necessary clinical privileges.
Preferred Qualifications:
- A minimum of three years of clinical experience in Pediatric Apheresis.
- Completion of an accredited postgraduate medical education program that includes apheresis training.
Compensation Range: The salary range for this role is $236,000 to $354,557 annually, based on full-time employment.
