We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Certified Central Sterile Processing Technician to join our team at WVU Medicine. As a key member of our Sterile Processing department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest level of patient care and safety.
Key Responsibilities- Responsible for the decontamination, sterilization, and processing of reusable medical instruments and equipment.
- Coordinates with surgical teams to ensure timely delivery of sterilized instruments and equipment.
- Maintains accurate records of sterilization and processing activities.
- Collaborates with other departments to ensure seamless workflow and efficient use of resources.
- Participates in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Current certification as a Certified Central Sterile Processing Technician (CCSPT) or Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician (CSPDT) required.
- Minimum one year of experience in sterile processing or a related field preferred.
The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a focus on patient safety and quality care. The physical demands of this role include standing for long periods, lifting up to 60 pounds, and working in a sterile environment.
