Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in managing a team dedicated to delivering communication infrastructure, including both passive and active systems such as ISP/OSP pathways, networking, wireless systems, CCTV, access control, A/V, and other technology solutions, ensuring design efficiency and compliance with contract specifications.
  • Support the design and execution of Information Transport Systems and telecommunications infrastructure.
  • Oversee daily operations of a project or a segment of a larger initiative, ensuring seamless execution.
  • Identify and address issues related to change orders, ensuring thorough documentation and tracking.
  • Manage the financial aspects of the project, including cash flow planning and expense oversight.
  • Maintain precise as-built documentation as work progresses.
  • Document and address project challenges and conditions in real-time.
  • Plan and execute project completion, including the development and resolution of punch lists.
  • Set specific objectives and prioritize tasks to ensure project milestones are met.
  • Interpret and work from blueprints and project specifications.
  • Research and compile project submittals, price change orders, and prepare estimates for partially designed projects.
  • Collaborate with supervisory personnel, clients, contractors, and design professionals to resolve project-related challenges.
  • Represent the organization in communications with clients, public agencies, and general contractors.
  • Ensure timely decision-making, submission of RFIs, and documentation of all agreements.

Required Qualifications:

  • 5-7 years of relevant experience in telecommunications or electrical contracting, along with a degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience overseeing telecommunications and electronic security projects with budgets ranging from $500,000 to $10 million.
  • Proficiency in working with contract documents, including drawings, subcontracts, specifications, change orders, RFIs, and submittals.
  • Experience with the installation of Information Transport Systems.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, project management tools, CPM scheduling, cost modeling, and AutoCAD.
  • Strong understanding of design techniques, tools, and concepts related to technical plans and blueprints.
  • Familiarity with standard deliverables and processes in construction and integration projects.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven ability to plan and organize activities effectively.
  • Ability to work in a diverse team environment and manage multiple tasks.
  • Reliable attendance and the ability to work flexible hours, including occasional nights and weekends.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25%, with reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience with Accubid Estimating or similar software related to electrical installations.
  • Proficiency with Primavera P6 or equivalent CPM scheduling software.
  • Willingness and ability to travel to project sites as necessary.
