- Provide direct patient care, including individual and group therapy, and other forms of programming.
- Collaborate with other members of the treatment team to ensure comprehensive care and support for patients.
- Document all patient care activities and maintain accurate records.
- Participate in regular meetings and training sessions to stay up-to-date on best practices and industry developments.
- Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Clinical Psychology, or related field from an accredited university.
- Expertise in conducting mental health diagnostic and ongoing assessments using the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual (DSM).
- Licensed in the State of Illinois as an independently licensed mental health professional.
- Four years of direct clinical services work experience in mental health, preferably in a correctional environment.
- Bilingual skills in Spanish, Polish, or Arabic.
- Knowledge of principles, practices, and techniques of mental health services and generally accepted standards of mental health care.
- Ability to communicate effectively with a wide variety of health professionals, individuals with mental illness, and the general public.
- Skilled in performing DMS-based diagnostic, biopsychosocial, and mental status evaluations, and developing individual treatment plans.
