About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and talented Data Scientist Engineer to join our team at Rio Tinto Boron, California Operations. As a Data Scientist Engineer, you will play a key role in shaping our company's future by developing innovative data-driven solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop data pipelines to extract, transform, and load data from various sources.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business needs and develop data-driven solutions.
  • Develop and maintain data visualizations and reports to support business decision-making.
  • Work with third-party software vendors to integrate their tools with our data infrastructure.
  • Help users make data-driven decisions by providing data insights and recommendations.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Data Analytics, or a related field.
  • At least one year of experience in data analysis, data engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Basic understanding of data analysis, data extraction, transform, and loading.
  • Experience with Python, SQL, Typescript, or other common programming languages.
  • Leadership skills, eagerness to learn, and a willingness to take on new challenges.
  • Flexibility and autonomy to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with colleagues.
  • Valid driving license.
