About the Role

TRS Staffing Solutions is seeking a highly skilled Project Engineer to join our team. As a Project Engineer, you will be responsible for leading the design and project management of civil engineering projects, including land development, infrastructure design, and construction observation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Design and Management: Lead the design and project management of civil engineering projects, including land development, infrastructure design, and construction observation.
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, surveying, and geotechnical departments, to ensure project goals and requirements are met.
  • Technical Expertise: Provide technical expertise in civil engineering design, including storm drainage hydraulic sizing, water distribution modeling, and best management practices.
  • Project Evaluation: Conduct preliminary engineering evaluations, including quantity take-offs and opinions of probable construction cost.
  • Client and Stakeholder Management: Serve as a point-of-contact for clients, review agencies, contractors, and internal teams, ensuring effective communication and project progress.
  • Site Visits and Reporting: Conduct site visits and prepare associated field reports to ensure project progress and identify potential issues.
  • Training and Mentoring: Provide training and mentoring to junior team members to ensure knowledge transfer and skill development.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering (BSCE) or Civil Engineering Technology (BSCET)
  • Experience: 6+ years of qualifying civil engineering design and project management experience
  • Licensure: PE Licensure, actively pursuing, or ability to obtain licensure in South Carolina preferred
  • Software Skills: Advanced design skills in software programs such as Civil 3D, ICPR, SedCAD, Hydraflow Hydrographs, Hydraflow Storm Sewers, HydroCAD, WaterCAD, and Autodesk Vehicle Tracking
  • Personal Qualities: Strong desire to continue learning, advance professionally, and demonstrate ability to work in a fast-paced, design team environment
