Key Responsibilities:

  • Delivering instruction in general engineering and specialized civil engineering courses at the undergraduate level.
  • Providing mentorship and guidance to students.
  • Developing and assessing curriculum and laboratory courses to support accreditation standards.
  • Supervising senior projects and engaging with the community and industry.
  • Participating in scholarship activities and professional organizations.
  • Maintaining a teaching load of 12 credits per semester, with potential for scholarship load exchange.

Qualifications:

  • A doctorate in engineering, preferably civil engineering, is required.
  • Demonstrated effective communication skills.
  • Experience working with diverse groups of faculty, staff, and students.
  • Prior teaching experience at the undergraduate level is preferred.
  • Experience managing undergraduate research is advantageous.

  • Ability to work collaboratively with faculty in the Natural Sciences department.
  • Willingness to engage with online course management systems and adopt new instructional strategies.
