Position Overview
We are in search of a customer-centric Senior Vice President with an extensive network within the food retail sector to spearhead the Direct to Retail Channel. This channel encompasses traditional grocery chains, specialty food outlets, warehouse clubs, and online retail platforms. The successful candidate will be expected to excel in this role, bringing substantial experience in cultivating and expanding business relationships with various food retail organizations that operate manufacturing facilities or commissaries and produce goods in-store, utilizing premium ingredients.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate effectively as a member of Kerry North America's Senior Management team to achieve the established Annual Business Plan objectives.
- Maintain C-Suite level relationships with pivotal retail partners.
- Develop and sustain a high-performing business development and sales team.
- Play a crucial role in the formulation, execution, and realization of annual budgets.
- Engage cross-functionally with operations, supply chain, marketing, and finance to ensure the fulfillment of customer performance targets.
- Travel requirements: Approximately 60% initially, adjusting to 40-50% over time.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor's Degree in Business or a related discipline; MBA is highly preferred.
- A minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in the food ingredients sector (taste & nutrition, flavors, or functional ingredients preferred), with at least 8 years in commercial management roles collaborating with food retailers and manufacturers.
- Possess strong, current relationships with key decision-makers at targeted clients.
- Demonstrated success in organically growing a business through new customer acquisition and deeper market penetration.
- Experience with successful mergers and acquisitions.
- Active involvement in new product development initiatives.
- Experience working within a matrix organizational structure in a complex multinational corporation.
- Proven track record in developing high-performing teams and fostering a positive workplace culture.
