Job SummaryThe Medical Assistant - Patient Experience Specialist role is a critical position that plays a key part in delivering exceptional patient care. As a Medical Assistant, you will be responsible for ensuring that patients receive a high level of service and support throughout their healthcare journey.
Key Responsibilities- Provide Exceptional Patient Service: Handle all patient interactions with the highest level of professionalism and hospitality, accommodating special requests whenever possible.
- Resolve Customer Complaints: Respond to customer inquiries and resolve complaints in a timely and effective manner.
- Support Clinical Care: Assist clinicians with patient care, including taking medical histories, measuring patient vitals, and other pertinent information.
- Manage Clinic Operations: Handle inventory, orders, and replenish medical supplies and materials.
- Administer Medications: Administer medications, including injections, in scope of practice.
- Provide Administrative Support: Handle multi-phone line system, professionally answering calls, scheduling appointments, responding to emails, and ensuring great communication.
- Education: Graduate of an accredited medical assistant or surgical technician program.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years comparable clinical back office medical assistant experience.
- Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
- Technical Skills: Excellent computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft products.
- Communication Skills: Reading, writing, and excellent oral proficiency in the English language.
- Organizational Skills: Strong organizational and follow-through skills.
- Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Initiative: High level of ownership, accountability, and initiative.
- Physical Demands: May require standing, walking, and sitting for extended amounts of time.
- Lifting: Occasionally lift and carry items weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Manual Dexterity: Manual and finger dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
- Visual and Auditory Requirements: Requires corrected vision, hearing, and speech within normal ranges.
