Senior Project Manager - Commercial Construction

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Manager to join our team in Kansas City. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial construction and a proven track record of delivering successful projects.

The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for leading and executing commercial construction projects from conception to completion. This includes overall planning, budgeting, and managing the project team to ensure timely and within-budget delivery.

The successful candidate will have a broad knowledge of building systems and construction methods, as well as excellent communication and leadership skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and understand the Owner contract language
  • Set the budget and profit goals for the work
  • Lead the process of selecting Subs and Suppliers for each project
  • Lead team meetings to track the project's progress
  • Identify key schedule milestones and report to management any deviations or anticipation of missed milestones
  • Provide oversight and guidance to the project team
  • Communicate and report to Clients and key stakeholders
  • Identify possible areas of risk and report/manage
  • Team-building and mentoring project team members
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements
  • Change Management and timely reporting of cost and time claims

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field
  • 7+ years experience managing commercial or light industrial construction projects
  • Broad knowledge of building systems and construction methods
