Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Warehouse Lead to join our Distribution Department at Expeditors. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our warehouse, ensuring maximum efficiency, productivity, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Warehouse Operations: Supervise the unloading of inbound shipments, verify required inbound paperwork, and ensure all products are properly counted and inspected.
  • Inventory Management: Organize and prioritize inbound and outbound activities, ensuring accurate inventory levels and minimizing stock discrepancies.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and motivate a team of warehouse associates, providing guidance, coaching, and development opportunities to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to excel in their roles.
  • Quality Control: Ensure outbound shipments are complete and free of damage, promoting a culture of housekeeping and appearance at the warehouse.
  • Communication: Act as a liaison between employees and management, communicating industry and brand knowledge to associates, and issuing written and oral instructions.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree (preferred)
  • Experience: Minimum 1 year of direct experience in a similar position
  • Skills: Strong supervisory and communication skills, familiarity with personal computers and material handling equipment, decision-making and coaching skills
  • Software Knowledge: Proficient in MS Office, MS Excel, and Expeditors systems (Edoc, Expo, CFIT, Manhattan)
  • Personal Attributes: Excellent problem-solving skills, ability to work in a team environment, high tolerance for stress, strong planning, prioritizing, and organizational skills
