Job Summary:

The Weekend Material Handler position at Sunbelt Solomon is responsible for the testing and evaluation of various types of transformers on a weekend shift schedule. This role requires a high level of attention to detail and the ability to work independently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate various types of units, including internal and external visual inspections and electrical testing.
  • Operate a tablet to complete data collection for inventory equipment and evaluations.
  • Complete virtual warehouse transactions and maintain internal quality standards.
  • Collect dimensions and measurements, take photos, and complete drawings to document findings for fabrication options.
  • Execute tasks to Sunbelt Solomon standards and procedures.

Requirements:

  • 1-3 years' specific transformer work history preferred.
  • 1-3 years' mechanical and/or electrical field experience required.
  • Experience with small hand tools.
  • Technical skills are a plus.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Physically demanding position; constantly standing up and kneeling down to read nameplates on units.
  • Cooperative attitude towards all internal and external customers.
  • Assist team members to resolve questions and help with the workload.
  • Dependable and strong work ethic; works safely.
  • Professional language and conduct at all times.
  • Ability to learn other areas to fill in when required.
  • Forklift certified or ability to obtain certification.
  • HS diploma/GED.
