Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Anesthesia Technician to join our team at AdventHealth. As an Anesthesia Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our anesthesia department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and organize the anesthesia environment, equipment, supplies, and personnel to facilitate department functions.
  • Ensure department compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements related to anesthesia care.
  • Oversee and maintain inventory of equipment and supplies.
  • Assist licensed anesthesia physicians in the clinical setting.
  • Perform duties under the supervision of licensed anesthesia care physicians.
Requirements
  • General understanding and recognition of basic EKG and vital sign changes and reports abnormalities to the physician.
  • Demonstrates knowledge and awareness of TJC, OSHA, and Hazmat guidelines.
  • Prepares Anesthesia supplies, equipment, and invasive lines for each surgical procedure per individual.
  • Ensures anesthesia delivery systems are properly functioning before each procedure.
  • Prioritizes needs with other ancillary staff while assisting with room turnovers and patient throughput.
