About the Role

This role offers a unique opportunity to work in a fast-paced acute care surgical trauma unit, where you will have the chance to make a meaningful impact on patients' lives. With a focus on providing individualized care, you will work collaboratively with the healthcare team to develop and implement plans of care that meet the complex needs of our patients.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care, including treatments, medications, and diagnostic studies, according to policy and procedure.
  • Complete assessments as established by scope of practice and unit standards, addressing physical, psychological, social, cultural, and spiritual needs of patients and families throughout the continuum of care.
  • Formulate, coordinate, and provide plan of care, including patient and family education, family needs, and discharge planning throughout hospitalization, with members of the interdisciplinary team.
  • Evaluate effectiveness of nursing interventions and revise plan of care based upon patient response to interventions.
  • Initiate collaboration with physicians, ancillary personnel, and other interdisciplinary team members, taking action to proactively resolve and facilitate patient needs.
  • Make assignments in collaboration with other team members, directing and altering assignments in response to changes in patient situations.
