As a member of our team, you will engage in projects related to municipal water and wastewater treatment facilities, distribution and collection systems, and pumping stations. Responsibilities
+ Execute civil engineering tasks in water and wastewater treatment facilities and conveyance systems, concentrating on site design elements such as layout, yard piping, roadways, paving, grading, and stormwater management.
+ Participate in engineering planning and design projects, conducting conceptual and preliminary design activities, including site assessments, overseeing fieldwork, alternatives analysis, and report generation.
+ Develop civil engineering plans and specifications.
+ Prepare cost estimates for various water and wastewater initiatives.
+ Create technical memoranda, reports, and electronic deliverables.
+ Assist in coordinating the work of sub-consultants.
+ Collaborate with other engineering disciplines, designers, modelers, technicians, and others involved in specific tasks.
+ Review contractor submissions for compliance with contract documents and assess requests for information during construction.
+ Engage in field activities such as pilot testing.
+ Conduct permitting and alternatives analysis.
+ Support project managers with permitting submissions for treatment facilities and infrastructure projects, including coordination with various governmental entities.
+ Participate in field activities and site evaluations.
Qualifications
+ Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
+ 6 to 12 years of relevant experience in water and wastewater engineering.
+ Professional Engineer registration.
+ Application of engineering principles, including critical thinking, analysis, and innovative methodologies.
+ Strong verbal and written communication skills with clients and project teams.
+ Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
+ Highly motivated, articulate, and self-driven.
Preferred Qualifications
+ Master’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
+ Familiarity with project scheduling software.
+ Active involvement in professional associations.
