Job Summary:

As a Radiology Technologist PRN, you will perform radiographic procedures as ordered by physicians and process images for use in patient diagnosis and treatment. You will verify the accuracy of procedures on x-ray requisitions, make necessary revisions, and identify patients according to hospital policy. You will also obtain procedure-related patient history, document in procedure exam data comments, and provide diagnostic test results. Additionally, you will prepare oral contrast for procedures, communicate with patients and families, and maintain constant observation of patient condition during procedures.

Responsibilities:

Perform radiographic procedures as ordered by physicians
Verify accuracy of procedures on x-ray requisitions
Identify patients according to hospital policy
Obtain procedure-related patient history
Document in procedure exam data comments
Provide diagnostic test results
Prepare oral contrast for procedures
Communicate with patients and families
Maintain constant observation of patient condition during procedures

Requirements:

Successful completion of a radiological diagnostic education from an accredited program
Current licensure with registration (or eligible for completion within a year of employment) from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
Current Indiana State Board of Health General Certificate for Radiographers
Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification within six months of employment
