Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist to join our team at McLaren Health Care. As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a vital role in assisting surgeons and other medical professionals in operating rooms and similar environments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare patients, rooms, and equipment for surgical procedures, ensuring a safe and sterile environment.
  • Assist during surgical procedures, passing sterile surgical equipment to surgeons and maintaining the sterile field.
  • Provide supportive care during the pre-operative phase, preparing patients for surgery and monitoring their vital signs.
  • Transport patients after procedures and ensure the operating room is clean, sterile, and stocked for the next procedure.
  • Perform clerical duties, such as ordering supplies, maintaining logs, and supporting administrative staff as needed.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Completion of an accredited surgical technology training program.
  • Certification as a surgical technologist from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting.
  • BLS Certification.
Preferred Qualifications
  • One year of experience in a medical setting.
  • Knowledge of patient care, medical terminology, anatomy, surgical techniques, and equipment.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and customer service skills.
