Our logistics services encompass the entire supply chain, from production to retail.
We are currently seeking a MARINE EXPORT SPECIALIST who possesses outstanding communication and customer service abilities. Precision and timely management of freight and information are critical aspects of this role, which will be situated at our SFO facility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Generate and confirm transport orders to facilitate the collection of shipments at the origin.
- Focus on optimizing container loading strategies.
- Conduct bookings and optimize them in accordance with internal protocols established by the Product team.
- Prepare, manage, and distribute all necessary export documentation to relevant parties (carriers, consignees, suppliers, etc.), ensuring compliance with regulations and internal procedures.
- Review responses from counterparts and finalize the validation of required documents.
- Manage customer service inquiries and monitor shipment status in the export sector, identifying and resolving incidents to meet and exceed client expectations.
- Collaborate with Customer Service, Product, and Global Service Centers as necessary.
- May be tasked with additional responsibilities as required.
Skills / Requirements:
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in Ocean Export - Import or a related field.
- A quick learner with a proactive attitude and strong prioritization capabilities.
- Exceptional customer service skills.
- Proficient in computer applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Familiarity with ITAR regulations is advantageous.
- Knowledge of Australian Quarantine regulations is a plus.
- Experience with LOGIS or Cargo Wise systems is beneficial.
- Hazmat certification is an asset.
