POSITION OVERVIEW
The Nursing Education Instructor role is a full-time, twelve-month faculty position dedicated to the Nursing program. The selected candidate will be responsible for teaching various aspects of both Practical Nursing and Registered Nursing Programs. This includes overseeing clinical practice, guiding additional clinical instructors as necessary, and teaching other health-related courses. Flexibility to assist with evening and weekend classes is essential.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and review assigned lesson plans
- Deliver engaging presentations of lesson plans to students
- Administer assessments and evaluate student submissions
- Provide academic advising to students
- Oversee students during all clinical education phases
- Collaborate closely with supervisors on nursing education materials
- Procure necessary supplies for instructional purposes
- Coordinate with supervisors regarding instructional content and any challenges faced
- Supervise student-client interactions during clinical practice
- Assign clinical tasks based on students' competencies and skills
- Calculate and record student performance metrics
- Engage in collaborative curriculum development and revisions with faculty and administration
- Participate in nursing faculty, departmental, and advisory meetings
- Travel to various campuses and clinical sites for educational purposes
- Assist students with invasive procedures conducted on clients during clinical experiences
Perform any additional duties as assigned or required.
Qualifications: Registered Nurse with an active, unrestricted license in Arkansas; Associate's Degree in Nursing; willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends.
