We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Food Service Shift Lead to join our team at Break Time Convenience Store. As a Food Service Shift Lead, you will be responsible for assisting in the management and operations of our food service programs, ensuring high standards for food preparation, cleanliness, and customer service.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in managing the operations of food service programs, including profitability and expense control.
- Supervise and train employees on prep and execution of food service programs.
- Ensure equipment, dishes, and food service areas are properly cleaned and maintained.
- Monitor the consistent and timely inspection of products for correct time and temperatures, cleanliness, rotation, portioning, and pricing.
- Recommend employee actions, i.e. counseling, performance review, or terminations to the Food Service Manager.
- Work closely with management to ensure all company policies and procedures are followed.
- Prior food service experience preferred.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
- Flexible availability which may include all shifts, weekends, and holidays.
- Reliable transportation to work.
- Willingness to attend adequate food safety training and obtain a Food Handler's Card or equivalent certifications.
- ServeSafe certified or able to complete course and pass test.
- Physical ability to move and position products in the cooler with temperatures as low as 30 degrees for up to one hour, and to move and position products in the freezer with temperatures as low as 0 degrees.
- Physical ability to both move and position yourself to move and retrieve products and supplies from shelves, under counters, or stacks of inventory weighing up to 50 pounds, and to remain in a stationary position (standing and/or driving) for up to nine hours per shift.
- Ability to perform mathematical calculations in order to make change, complete shift reports, and account for numbers of products during vendor check in.
- Ability to learn new concepts, use technical materials, and consistently operate a computer and other office productivity machinery.
- Willingness to occasionally ascend and descend ladders to handle inventory or products.
- Ability to perform these duties and others as assigned, with accuracy, and minimal supervision.
MFA Oil is a subsidiary of MFA Oil Company, a farmer-owned cooperative founded in 1929. MFA Oil operates Break Time convenience stores in Missouri and a Big O Tires franchise in Missouri, Arkansas, and Kansas.
