Role Summary
The Lead Project Manager for Property Risk Mitigation is a pivotal role focusing on the engineering aspects of property loss prevention. This position encompasses the management of:
- Fire protection systems in buildings, including automatic sprinklers and alarms, for both existing structures and new developments.
- Identification and mitigation of new property risks, along with the development of standards and training for site personnel.
- Collaboration with property insurance engineering programs.
- Project management of initiatives aimed at reducing property risks.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee property loss control risks in relation to the property insurance program, including:
- Management of the FM Global inspection program.
- Conducting site property loss control pre-surveys.
- Addressing new property risks arising from updates in NFPA codes or FM Datasheets.
Collaborate with various Cardinal Health business units and leaders to develop real estate projects that align with their operational needs.
Possess a deep understanding of business functions to design facilities that support these needs, including corporate offices, warehouses, and manufacturing sites.
Lead cross-functional teams to ensure the successful delivery of large-scale projects within budget and on schedule.
Engage with internal stakeholders to define project requirements, timelines, and financial plans.
Proactively cultivate and maintain relationships with business leaders and engage with external facility partners and real estate providers.
Management of Corporate Fire Systems
Oversee programs related to fire safety systems, including:
- Review and commissioning of fire protection systems.
- Conducting site audits.
- Development and implementation of fire protection standards.
- Management of critical supplier property risk assessments.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field is preferred.
- Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience is preferred.
- Experience and training in FM or HPR are required.
- Familiarity with NFPA codes, particularly 13, 72, and FM Datasheets.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Project, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills across all organizational levels.
- Self-driven with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Strong problem-solving skills and capability to influence change management within the organization.
- Willingness to travel approximately 50% to various facilities and job sites.

Utilize comprehensive knowledge and understanding of concepts and principles to perform a variety of tasks and projects. This role may involve:
