About the Role:

We are looking for an experienced Respiratory Therapist to teach and develop curriculum in our Respiratory Care program. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in respiratory care, excellent communication skills, and the ability to create an effective learning environment.

Responsibilities:
  1. Teach and develop curriculum in Respiratory Care
  2. Prepare and provide students with course outlines that support learning objectives
  3. Create an effective learning environment through the use of various instructional methods
  4. Collaborate with other faculty members to complete program reviews and revise curriculum
  5. Participate in professional development activities to stay current in discipline and instructional methods
  6. Participate in department and college meetings and committees
  7. Support the college's goals and objectives
Requirements:

Associate degree in Respiratory Therapy is required, Baccalaureate degree preferred. Must hold a valid Registered Respiratory Therapy (RRT) credential and current state license. A minimum of four years' experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist with at least two years in clinical respiratory care; have a minimum of two years' experience teaching either as an appointed faculty member in a CoARC-accredited respiratory care program or as a clinical instructor/preceptor for students of such programs. Must have a certification with the American Heart Association ACLS and BLS.

Clearances:

Current criminal record/child abuse clearances will be required if offered the position and in order to be employed at the College.
