Respiratory Therapist Assistant

This Respiratory Therapist Assistant role is designed to provide hands-on experience for individuals pursuing a career in respiratory therapy. Under the supervision of experienced respiratory therapists and healthcare professionals, you will assist with the delivery of respiratory modalities and therapies to patients.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in delivering respiratory modalities and therapies to patients under the guidance of experienced respiratory therapists.
Set up, maintain, and clean respiratory equipment and devices, ensuring they are in proper working condition and readily available for use.
Expand knowledge and skills related to respiratory therapy, collaborating effectively with the respiratory therapy team and other healthcare professionals.
Manage the storage and distribution of oxygen to ensure a continuous and safe supply to patients, monitoring and maintaining oxygen equipment and storage areas.
Accurately document the delivery of respiratory modalities and maintain patient records as required by hospital protocols.
Requirements
High School/GED
Currently enrolled in a CoARC approved school of Respiratory Care, having completed one semester of clinical rotations at a CoARC approved school of Respiratory Care.
BLS certification preferred.
