Position Summary

This role is integral to our New Products and Adjacencies (NPA) team, where you will spearhead the design and execution of advanced systems for both military and civilian applications. Your expertise will be crucial in identifying and leveraging new market opportunities, ensuring that our engineering initiatives align with strategic business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

As a Systems Engineer, your duties will include:
  • Translating system functional requirements into effective software and firmware architectures through Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE).
  • Conducting validation and verification of system requirements, including the initial integration of software and hardware components.
  • Creating innovative technical solutions that utilize the full potential of GE Aviation Systems across various development programs.
  • Collaborating with customer engineering teams to define and refine requirements for future platforms and systems.
  • Developing new tools to support MBSE initiatives.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in MBSE engineering development.
Eligibility Criteria
  • Must possess legal authorization to work in the U.S.
  • Willingness to obtain and maintain DoD Security Clearance.
  • This position requires access to technical data subject to U.S. Government contract restrictions.
Preferred Skills
  • Familiarity with aviation systems development processes, including ARP 4754A or similar standards.
  • Proficiency in software tools such as DOORs, Dimensions, RTC, Git, and Windchill.
  • Experience in Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) using SysML in Cameo/NoMagic for avionics system design and verification.
  • Knowledge of AADL and ACVIP.
  • Experience with scripting languages such as Python, JavaScript, Groovy, Perl, and Bash.
  • Understanding of key aspects in developing and maintaining a Product Line.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
