Crisis Response Team Member

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Crisis Response Team Member to join our team at Aspire Indiana Health, Inc. As a Crisis Response Team Member, you will play a critical role in providing crisis intervention services to individuals and families in our community.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Respond to crisis calls and provide immediate interventions to individuals in need
  • Triage phone calls and route them to the appropriate team member based on the level of risk and urgency
  • Provide comprehensive crisis counseling and safety planning to clients
  • Support and guide Aspire staff and community stakeholders in the process of inpatient psychiatric admission during behavioral health emergencies
  • Facilitate inpatient admissions, emergency detention orders, and Apprehend and Return orders
  • Coordinate Crisis Response Team interventions
  • Maintain excellent working relationships with first responders, dispatchers, and hospitals
  • Arrange urgent comprehensive assessments/intakes with Aspire providers or referral partners
  • Work with hospital discharge planners to coordinate and schedule post-inpatient treatment
  • Coordinate with Aspire staff to perform assessments aimed at anticipating potential crises for those currently in Aspire services
  • Provide outreach to current Aspire clients at risk for potential crisis through Caring Contacts and review of their Safety and Prevention plan
  • Serve as a resource for Aspire staff, as well as, external stakeholders in the identification and application of criteria for inpatient treatment
  • Coordinate referrals to Aspire treatment services as well as to external resources/services
  • Monitor psychiatric bed availability in the community
  • Participate in 24 hour on-call crisis team, as needed
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma required
  • At least one (1) year of related experience preferred
  • May self-identify as a current or former recipient of services, and/or a family member of an individual who was a recipient of services, and be maintaining a healthy recovery from mental illness and/or substance use to qualify for the peer track
  • Knowledge of community resources, referral processes and risk assessments preferred
  • Basic knowledge of the Recovery Model highly recommended
  • Must possess a valid Indiana drivers license, current auto insurance, and a driving record that meets the requirements of the organization
