Alverno Laboratories is seeking a highly reliable and detail-oriented Phlebotomy Specialist to join our team. As a Phlebotomy Specialist, you will be responsible for collecting blood specimens, performing laboratory office duties, and processing laboratory specimens.
Key Responsibilities
• Collect blood specimens from patients using aseptic techniques and proper handling procedures
• Perform laboratory office duties, including registering patients, accurately entering data into the computer system, and processing paperwork
• Prepare specimens for testing and/or sending to the central laboratory or reference laboratory
• Perform limited waived and specified non-waived POC tests as authorized by the Laboratory Director
Requirements
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• Previous phlebotomy experience and/or training is required
• Background in a medical laboratory and/or knowledge of medical terminology is preferred
• Valid driver's license and a good driving record
