Job Summary

Lakewood Surgery Center is seeking a skilled Radiology Technician to join our team on a per diem basis. As a key member of our radiology team, you will be responsible for performing various procedures under the direction of specialized physicians, including operating special imaging and radiology equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform diagnostic radiology procedures, including fluoroscopy, using x-ray equipment to make radiographs of designated body parts.
  • Assist attending physicians with fluoroscopic examinations and special radiographic studies.
  • Position patients for each anatomical view specified, using immobilization and protective devices as required.
  • Monitor accessory equipment and report any changes in patient condition to attending medical staff.
  • Process film in accordance with standardized procedures and maintain a clean and orderly work area.
  • Collaborate with lead x-ray tech and radiologist to ensure compliance with established standards of quality.

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited program in Radiological Technology.
  • 1-2 years of experience in C-Arm and Portable x-rays in an operating room setting.
  • ARRT Registered, State MRT, and CPR Current.
  • Knowledgeable of local, state, federal, and Joint Commission Regulations.
  • Independent decision-making skills and ability to prioritize multiple projects.
  • Excellent communication skills with staff, physicians, patients, and families.
