Position Overview
Diversified Project Services International, Inc. (DPSI) is seeking a highly skilled Senior Land Surveyor to enhance our dynamic team. We pride ourselves on fostering a collaborative and fast-paced work environment that encourages professional growth and development.
Role Summary
The Senior Land Surveyor will oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of various surveying projects, including legal descriptions and boundary determinations. This role involves direct client interaction and proposal development, ensuring project budgets are adhered to while maintaining high levels of client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct boundary surveys, easements, and prepare legal descriptions.
- Provide expert coordination and support for field survey crews and office personnel.
- Offer technical and legal guidance as required.
- Review and certify completed survey work, ensuring compliance with standard surveying practices.
- Interpret and evaluate engineering plans and drawings.
- Analyze records, charts, and statistical data relevant to engineering.
- Process and analyze field data collected by survey teams.
- Perform arithmetic computations necessary for surveying tasks.
- Direct the operations of survey field crews.
- Prepare, interpret, and review engineering plans, field notes, and specifications.
- Maintain precise records and generate reports and correspondence related to projects.
- Execute additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Proficient in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Familiarity with laser scanning technology and GPS systems.
- Possession of a valid Driver's License.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD and Carlson software.
- Experience in construction staking.
- Strong numerical computation skills.
Education and Experience Requirements
Must be a licensed Land Surveyor with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience, particularly in construction surveying and the preparation of as-built drawings. Proficiency with surveying technologies, including GPS systems for RTK surveying and robotic total stations, is essential.
