Program Overview:
This program provides direct patient care in alignment with established standards of practice and the organization's core values and mission.
- Commitment to a two-year full-time program
- Active RN Florida License required
- Current BLS certification (American Heart Association or American Red Cross)
- Registered Nurses with less than one year of acute care experience are not eligible for this program
- Registered Nurses who have been out of practice for over three years
- Registered Nurses currently in non-acute care settings (e.g., long-term care, rehabilitation, home health) seeking to transition to acute care.
Available Tracks: Medical/Surgical/Telemetry
Responsibilities:
Plans, implements, and evaluates patient care based on thorough assessments to optimize outcomes and utilize resources effectively. Monitors, documents, and communicates patient conditions as necessary.
Assesses the educational needs of patients and their families, providing tailored education based on age, culture, and specific circumstances. Collaborates across disciplines to ensure comprehensive patient care, including referrals and psychosocial support.Delegates patient care tasks to ancillary staff as appropriate and may mentor student nurses and new hires.

Educational and Certification Requirements:
Accredited Program:
Nursing (Required)
BLS Certification (American Heart Association or American Red Cross)
Registered Nurse Compact License (if applicable)
Registered Nurse License (State of Florida)
Additional Information:
This role requires critical thinking, effective communication, decisive judgment, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Applicants must be recent graduates with less than six months of experience as an Acute Care Registered Nurse or less than twelve months in Non-Acute Care.
Working Conditions:
Physical demands include bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods. Exposure to various hazards, including biological and chemical agents, is inherent to the role.
