Position Overview:

In this role, you will report directly to the Plant Manager and be responsible for overseeing the daily functions of our sanitation and production departments. Your leadership will encompass various areas including the preparation, cooking, sauce production, and packaging operations. You will guide a team of production managers to ensure a safe and efficient environment that produces high-quality food products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive the implementation of our facility-specific mission to ensure ongoing improvements that align with our corporate objectives.
  • Guarantee compliance with all quality and regulatory standards, specifications, and policies.
  • Foster employee engagement and development to enhance safety, manufacturing quality, and productivity.
  • Work closely with production planning and materials management to optimize scheduled completions and enhance customer service.
  • Act as the Plant Manager when required.
  • Engage with Human Resources to address and resolve employee concerns effectively.
  • Collaborate with the finance team to establish and manage a capital budget that meets financial commitments.
  • Initiate cost-saving strategies related to staffing, operational standards, and yield optimization.
  • Contribute as a vital member of the labor management committee to address union-related matters.

Qualifications:

  • 5 to 7 years of experience in a manufacturing setting with round-the-clock accountability.
  • 3 to 5 years of management experience.
  • Experience in a unionized food manufacturing environment is preferred.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in business, industrial management, engineering, food science, management, product operations, or a related field.
