We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Laboratory Technician I to join our team at Sonora Quest. As a Medical Laboratory Technician I, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and reliability of laboratory test results.
Key Responsibilities- Testing and Quality Control: Perform waived and non-waived tests in an accurate and timely manner, adhering to established policies and performance standards.
- Specimen Processing: Collect, receive, and process biological specimens into the laboratory, ensuring correct patient and specimen identification and specimen integrity.
- Inventory Management: Ensure the appropriate use of supplies and materials, and assist with inventory management to optimize financial performance.
- Communication and Teamwork: Communicate effectively and professionally with internal and external customers, and participate in the resolution of communication issues.
- Training and Development: Participate in the training of laboratory personnel, and complete all required training modules.
- Education: Associate degree in a laboratory science (chemical or biological science) or medical laboratory technology from an accredited institution, or Bachelor's degree in chemical or biological science (transcripts will be reviewed to determine eligibility).
- Certification: MLT certification (ASCP, AMT, HEW, AAB) is preferred.
- Experience: Previous experience with phlebotomy and processing is preferred.
