We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Critical Care Nurse to join our team at HCA Florida Lake Monroe Hospital. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide exceptional patient care and support to patients requiring close monitoring and frequent assessments in our Intensive Care Unit.
Responsibilities- Collect comprehensive data pertinent to the patient's health or situation, utilizing clinical judgment to manage delivery of patient care safely and effectively.
- Advocate for patients as part of the interdisciplinary team, ensuring their needs are met and their rights are respected.
- Monitor critical vital signs, enabling intervention in life-threatening situations and providing timely and effective care.
- Educate patients regarding their medications, procedures, and treatments, providing support and guidance throughout their stay.
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Florida, multistate, or able to obtain licensure prior to start.
- Associate Degree, or Registered Nurse Diploma.
- 1 year previous RN critical care experience required.
- CCRN and recent ICU/PCU experience strongly preferred.
- BLS must be obtained prior to employment start date.
- NIH Stroke Scale must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
- Nonviolent Crisis Intervention must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support, or ACLS Instructor must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date.
- PALS Pediatric Adv Life Support, or PALS Instructor must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date.
