Job Summary

We are looking for a Respiratory Therapist with a strong background in critical care, particularly in pediatric intensive care units (PICU). The ideal candidate will have excellent clinical skills, a passion for delivering high-quality patient care, and a commitment to teamwork and collaboration.

Responsibilities
  • Provide respiratory care to patients in the PICU, including ventilation management, oxygen therapy, and aerosol therapy.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients.
  • Conduct thorough assessments of patients' respiratory status and develop plans to improve their respiratory function.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians and other healthcare professionals.
  • Monitor patients' vital signs and report any changes or concerns to the healthcare team.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures related to respiratory care.
Requirements
  • Current licensure as a Respiratory Therapist in the state of employment.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a pediatric intensive care unit (PICU) or similar setting.
  • Strong clinical skills and knowledge of respiratory care principles and practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
