University of Pittsburgh Physicians is seeking a full-time Physician Assistant or Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner to support the Department of Urology at UPMC Mercy. This role will involve working 100% in the OR, providing first assist during robotic surgeries. Previous experience as an APP is preferred.
Responsibilities- Provide patient care activities for a group of patients and their families through the application of independent judgment, communication, and collaboration with all team members.
- Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with physicians, other healthcare providers, patients, and their families to achieve desired patient outcomes throughout the continuum of care.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of patient care plans, ensuring that they are tailored to the individual needs of each patient.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care transitions and optimal patient outcomes.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety.
- Graduate of a physician assistant program accredited by the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the physician assistant (ARC-PA) or a nurse practitioner program.
- Current state PA license certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) or CRNP certification.
- Current CPR certification.
- Act 34 Clearance.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) or Basic Life Support (BLS) or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification.
