Teaching Opportunity at Success Academy

Success Academy is seeking a dedicated and passionate teacher to join our team of professionals committed to teaching and preparing children from low-income neighborhoods to be self-assured thinkers and leaders. As a teacher in our network of K-12 charter schools, you will be part of a collaborative and intellectually charged environment where you can make a meaningful impact.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lesson Planning and Instruction: Develop and implement lesson plans that align with curriculum standards and cater to diverse learning styles.
  • Assessment and Evaluation: Assess student progress through assignments, tests, and observations, and provide timely feedback and support to help students improve.
  • Classroom Management: Establish and enforce classroom rules and procedures to maintain a productive learning environment.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Communicate regularly with students, parents, and guardians regarding academic progress and behavioral issues, and collaborate with other teachers, staff, and administration to support student success.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • A bachelor's degree before your first day of work with Success Academy.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Passion for learning and commitment to student development.
  • Ability to work in person in New York City.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Education or related field.
  • Rigorous and relevant academic major.
