Job Summary

The Speech Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) will work closely with our team to deliver therapy services to individuals with speech, language, and communication disorders. Key responsibilities include developing individualized patient care plans, conducting therapy sessions, and maintaining accurate records.

Responsibilities

  1. Create, review, and update individualized patient care plans addressing specific speech and language needs in alignment with your supervising therapist.
  2. Deliver Speech Therapy services and activities for patients with speech and language disorders.
  3. Document and maintain patient records and clinical notes in a timely manner.
  4. Collaborate with local teams and participate in staff development opportunities.
  5. Communicate effectively between supervising therapist, agency, clients, and Area Support Manager to ensure coordinated patient care.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders or a related field required.
  • Active Texas SLPA licensure, or actively in process towards obtaining one required.
  • Preferred: 1 year supervised SLPA experience, home health experience, and familiarity with therapy documentation software.

Salary Range

$65,000 - $85,000 per year, depending on experience.
