Join Bridges Staffing, a leading workforce solutions provider, in matching talented individuals with fantastic jobs. We are seeking a skilled Grading Foreman to direct personnel on a given project, responsible for all safety, quality, and production goals.
About the Role:- Direct personnel on a given project, ensuring all safety, quality, and production goals are met.
- Operate heavy equipment in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to OSHA and company policies.
- Read and interpret engineered plans, stake out in the field, and set up GPS base stations.
- Perform JSA, toolbox talks, and safety training, planning, and communication related to the project.
- Communicate production issues and constraints, implementing plans to overcome them.
- Ensure heavy equipment is safely and securely stored, and participate in routine equipment maintenance.
- Practice 'Safely, All Day' and complete daily fuel, load count, and hour logs.
- Maintain a professional appearance, company vehicle, and tool inventory.
- Guide and lead the crew in all daily activities, performing minor emergency repairs as needed.
- Grading and general land preparation experience for commercial, municipal, and other projects.
- Knowledge of equipment operation and maintenance, safety, and road construction techniques.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, read and write to record pickups, and maintain daily records.
- Time management skills, valid driver's license, and ability to pass drug/alcohol screenings.
- Must be able to lift at least 40 lbs and demonstrate sound work ethics.
