About the Role

Mayo Clinic is seeking a highly skilled Anesthesia Technician to join our team. As an Anesthesia Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and effective delivery of anesthesia care to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist Anesthesia providers in conducting patient assessments, treatments, and interventions.
  • Prepare, set up, and calibrate invasive monitoring lines and equipment.
  • Ensure the sterile placement of invasive physiological monitoring and treatment catheters.
  • Assist with patient transfers and monitoring in Critical Care Units and perioperative services.
  • Perform proper patient identification procedures for blood products and medications.
  • Retrieve and deliver equipment, supplies, and drugs to Anesthesia providers in a timely manner.
  • Initiate trials and in-services of new Anesthesia products and equipment.
  • Identify and report safety hazards and errors.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • EMT, Paramedic, or Medic experience in the military, CNA, or PCT training program, or 12 months acute care experience.
  • Flexibility, multi-tasking, and adaptability.
  • Independent judgment, motivation, accountability, and compassion for patients.
