A sign-on bonus of $500 is available, distributed as $250 upon completion of the first week of training and an additional $250 after successfully completing the first 90 days.

Bilingual Employment & Training Specialist 3 – Full Time

Location:
Bloomfield, CT

Compensation:
$21.38 per hour

Work Schedule:
40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM

Role Summary:
As an Employment Specialist, you will play a crucial role in enhancing employment opportunities for individuals utilizing DMHAS services, particularly those facing mental health challenges or co-occurring disorders. If you are passionate about making a difference and possess an outgoing, enthusiastic demeanor, this position offers a rewarding career path.

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED/Hiset with 3 years of relevant experience; or
- Associate's degree with 2-3 years of experience; or
- Bachelor's degree with at least 1 year of experience required.

Essential Skills:
- Fluency in Spanish is mandatory.
- Proficiency in computer applications, including Microsoft Word, data entry, email, and internet navigation.
- Strong networking and relationship-building abilities are essential.

Additional Requirements:
- A valid driver's license with a clean driving record and a minimum of 3 years of driving experience.
- Must be willing to transport participants in a personal vehicle and travel within the region to engage with residential settings, employers, and community organizations.
