Nurse Practitioner

We are seeking a skilled Nurse Practitioner to join our team at Bon Secours Mercy Health. As a key member of our care team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care through the use of the nursing process of assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to establish goals and strategies for meeting the discharge or continuing care needs of patients.
- Perform and document complete patient assessments to identify learning needs and provide individualized and comprehensive teaching.
- Initiate and maintain current nursing care plans for all assigned patients, ensuring that they are aligned with the patient's goals and needs.
- Administer medications in a safe manner consistent with the State of Practice and Bon Secours Mercy Health policies and procedures.
- Act as a patient safety advocate by participating in ongoing quality improvement initiatives in the department.
- Provide education and support to patients and families to promote independence and self-care skills.
- Current RN license in the state of practice or covered by compact.
- BLS Basic Life Support - American Heart Association (preferred upon hire, must obtain from approved source prior to direct patient care).
- Certified Rehabilitation Registered Nurse (CRRN) (preferred).
- Medical-Surgical Nursing Certification RN-BC (preferred).
- Certified Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse (CMSRN) (preferred).
- Certified Neurological Registered Nurse (CNRN) (preferred).
- National Institute of Health (NIH) Stroke Certification (preferred).
- Gerontological Nursing - ANCC (preferred).
- Bachelors of Science Nursing (preferred).
- 1 year of clinical patient care experience in an acute care setting, long-term care facility, or physician practice (preferred).
- 1 year of experience in an acute rehabilitation facility (preferred).
