**Job Overview:**
The Apheresis Unit is a division of transfusion medicine that provides procedural services to both inpatients and outpatients. As a Nurse Specialist, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional patient care, ensuring the smooth operation of our procedures, and maintaining high-quality standards.
**Key Responsibilities:*
- Deliver safe and effective care to adult and pediatric patients undergoing apheresis procedures.
- Assist with the setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting of equipment used in apheresis procedures.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure seamless communication and coordinated care.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of patient care, treatments, and outcomes.
**Requirements:**
To be successful in this role, you must have:
- A valid nursing license and active registration as an RN in your state.
- At least 2 years of experience in apheresis or related fields, preferably in a hospital setting.
- Knowledge of EPIC EMR system and BLS/BCLS certifications.
