Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Behavioral Health Unit team. As a Behavioral Health Unit Nurse, you will play a critical role in providing direct and individualized care to patients with mental health conditions. Your expertise and empathy will help create a safe and supportive environment for our patients to heal and recover.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized care plans for patients with mental health conditions.
- Provide direct care to patients, including medication administration, specimen collection, and clinical treatments.
- Monitor and record patient condition, communicating with the care team and physicians as needed.
- Assist patients with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, nutrition, and ambulation.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and address spiritual and psychosocial needs.
- Evaluate patient learning needs and provide education to patients and their families.
Requirements:
- Current Nevada RN license.
- AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Handle with Care certification within 30 days of employment.
- Minimum one year of experience in a similar setting.
