Full-Time, Day Shift

As a Healthcare Support Specialist at Sentara, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional non-clinical assistance within a medical practice. Your contributions will ensure a positive patient experience through a range of administrative responsibilities that facilitate patient care. Key responsibilities include managing phone communications, coordinating appointment schedules, and addressing patient inquiries. In this position, you will experience outstanding teamwork, with colleagues collaborating to provide the highest quality of care for our patients.


Essential Qualifications:

  • A minimum of three (3) years of experience in Clerical or Customer Service roles is required.
  • At least one year of experience with Health Insurance Plans, Medical Records, Medical Terminology, Patient Registration, Scheduling, or Third Party Payers is necessary.
  • An Associate's degree may be considered in place of the required experience.
  • Experience in Plastic Surgery is preferred.
